Prayer, 9 Surprising ways God answers

In prayer, I asked for prosperity and God gave me brawn and brains to work. I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome.

Yes, God will always answer your prayer

But are you alert enough to hear or see how your answer will come or already answered?

As I was researching on prayer for my next blog post, I found this interesting rendition of how God answers prayers.

Can you relate in any way? Have you ever had an experience in your prayer life similar to any one of the points listed below?

Think about it, carefully. God may have answered you but you were not alert.

Paul writes in this scripture: My God will use his glorious riches to give you everything you need. He will do this through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

As you raise praying hands to the heavens, your prayer needs are always met. But they come disguised!

When you pray, thank God for His care and guidance, for His provision and plenty, for His love and wisdom, for His infinite abundance and your privilege to enjoy it when you have received your answer.

Take a serious look at this 9 point prayer rendition. What do you see here? Recognize anything? In this verse of scripture Jesus teaches as follows,

\”So I tell you to ask for what you want in prayer. And if you believe that you have received those things, then they will be yours\”,(Mark 11:24).

After you prayed, did you believe that you received? Meditate on this aspect and soberly examine your life. I leave that to your conscious.

These are some 9 surprising ways in which God can answer your prayer. Most likely your prayers are constantly being answered. Only believe and pray without ceasing!

  1. I asked for strength and
God gave me difficulties to make me strong
  2. I asked for wisdom and
God gave me problems to solve
  3. I asked for prosperity and
God gave me brawn and brains to work
  4. I asked for courage and
God gave me dangers to overcome
  5. I asked for patience and
God placed me in situations where I was forced to wait
  6. I asked for love and
God gave me troubled people to help
  7. I asked for favors and
    God gave me opportunities
  8. I received nothing I wanted
  9. I received everything I needed

Often, people complain that their prayers are not answered. But if we really understood the workings of God\’s truth, they would be alert to receive the answer when it comes.

For instance if you ask for money in your prayer, do not look for an angel from the skies to bring it on a golden platter, but keep your eyes open for fresh opportunity to make money. If you are open to receive, such an opportunity will come as surely as you live.

Another reason most of us think God has not answered is that we are impatient. Living in a world which is so full of \”instant things\” like fast foods, we tend to place our prayers in a microwave state. \”Lord, I want it now\”! And if it doesn\’t appear like in sesame world then you give up. Think again. Your prayer is being \’processed\’. Be patient for goodness sake!

Take note that God will use people and things within and around you to bless you with his best. Because he loves you, he will always answer your prayer. God uses foolish things to confound the wise. So your answer may come in what you may think is a foolish idea!

Finally, I close with this scripture:

\”Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding\”. (Prov. 4:7 KJV)
