A 2019 Year End Thought
Hello Friends. It\’s finally here. I mean the End of 2019. I am sure most of us will be celebrating a great year gone by. For others it may be asking ourselves,\”where did I miss it?\”
At the beginning of the year you spoke very prophetically and like most people you made declarations and passed resolutions. I know most of you even told God that with His hand upon you, nothing was going to stand in your way. Yes, you spoke to Him, in fact you were certain that the Holy Spirit bore witness with your pronouncements!
Slowly the mighty hand of the invisible sovereign spiritual power is closing the curtains on the 2019 curtain. Not to be seen again forever. Some will see the curtain close some hours earlier than others depending upon whichever time-zone they are in.
As the hours steadily tick away, what are your thoughts? Are there many unresolved resolutions? Are you taking stock? Is there still hope to squeeze in that last chance breakthrough to tip the scales? Well what is the reality….?
However the year turned out to be for you, it\’s water gone under the bridge of life. Baby believers say, \”He is a God of a second chance\”. If that is true then there\’s hope for a fresh start and to fine tune our plans once more.
Let me encourage you by slipping through some last minute thoughts as the curtain is drawing to a close on 2019 which also signifies a closing of a decade. Year ends may be times to reflect on what we accomplished or failed to execute.
Is It Really The End Of Your Plans?
I say, \”not really\”! And with finality too.
There\’s a whole 12 clean months ahead of us. Undefiled, not tampered with and ready to do whatever we desire. The question is; What are you going to put in those new 12 months ahead? Are you going to sow to the spirit or will it be the lust of the flesh yet again? What will you be thinking to do in the new year?
Remember this: \”Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts\”.
(Proverbs 4:23)
So now, each one of us has a new start from tomorrow. A new year and a new decade is at hand.
2020 looms at the horizon. Yeah it starts in a few hours and we shall call the date \”1st January 2020\”. Many free things come with it. I encourage you all that as God\’s children we shall truly embrace the new year and look out for each other, walk with fellow kindred in harmony, together. We are going to love each other more, cry with each other as true neighbors. We shall laugh together. But above all else, in this new year let\’s pray together more, worship together more, study the word together more.
Let\’s seek God\’s direction to flow together as a brethren of the same faith. With compassion let us look at those who are still in the world and are perishing. In 2020 let\’s double our efforts in taking the good news to them too. Jesus came and died for everyone, I mean the whole world.
As we seek God together in the New Year, I strongly urge you all in your households to honor the Lord with your whole selves. Let us seek Him first and He will fulfill our desires.
Finally as Family and friends, let\’s get more united in the coming year.
The Lord Bless you and Keep you and prosper your personal plans and those of your households in the New Year Ahead. Remember that it is He that gives us the ability to prosper. Let me leave you with this scripture here:
If you start thinking to yourselves, “I did all this. And all by myself. I’m rich. It’s all mine!”—well, think again. Remember that God, your God, gave you the strength to produce all this wealth so as to confirm the covenant that he promised to your ancestors—as it is today.
Deuteronomy 8: 17-20 MSG
If you forget, forget God, your God, and start taking up with other gods, serving and worshiping them, I’m on record right now as giving you firm warning: that will be the end of you; I mean it—destruction. You’ll go to your doom—the same as the nations God is destroying before you; doom because you wouldn’t obey the Voice of God, your God.
