Seriously, Do Your Words Have Power?
- Proverbs 18:20, \”You will have to live with the consequences of everything you say\”.
Thought is a power in itself, one of the great forces of the Universe, and ultimately the greatest of forces, directing all the others. So, beware of your thought life.
I think, therefore I am.
Words have the potential to actually hurt or better still to feel oh so good. In fact, words have the capability to unleash overwhelming strong emotions in a lot of us, whether in thought or spoken.
The words within your mind, your thoughts that is, can always have a great impact in your life. They can also raise emotions in those that they get directed at.
When you are arriving at a decision or conclusion of a matter within your mind, the words
that you are using have the ability to create a powerful impact on your own emotions.
Proverbs 4:23 says:
\”Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts\”.
The words that you speak are a manifestation of your thoughts and what your belief is at the time. Once you begin to change the manner of your thinking, you can also change your
way of speaking.
By positively changing the way you speak, you can always create great and positive changes in your life. Your success and your failure often depend on your thought life and the words that you speak.
Your success in life, may just be dependent upon your continued thoughts and the words you speak. Speak positively and you will see positive results in your life today. Speak negatively and your life will be full of challenges today and tomorrow.
A lot of people do not realize that words have power. Do not underestimate the fact that your words have power. Sometimes, we miss the fact that words we speak are always setting
a tone.
Proverbs 21:23 has this warning for us:
\”If you want to stay out of trouble, be careful what you say\”.
We use our thought life and the spoken word to chart a course for our lives. Just a single word can make a person\’s day, or shatter it. Words can destroy, but they can also build.
Words are spirit and have ability to make or break one\’s spirit. Directed at other people our words can also have great impact on their lives too.
We may not know it, but sometimes, the words that come from our mouths can inspire and cause a lasting shift in one\’s life.
Your words have great power, especially those words that you speak every day. The words that you speak about life now may affect your life in the future.
Always remember that what you say today, and your thought life now has a bearing and consequence on your future life.
Examine your thought and speech life and think clearly about your life today. Consider if you are taking your life positively or otherwise.
How do you feel and think about your life today? Are things going your way or they seem to fall apart? If you are encountering problems and challenges, how are you dealing with
them?
In other words check your thought life carefully and the words you speak. If life seems too harsh presently, consider what you believe and what you are creating right now by your thought life.
There\’s a widely accepted quote these days, \”as a man thinks in his heart, so
is he\”. So what are you thinking? Or how is your thought life? If you dwell on the negative thought and speech pattern so shall your life be, negative.
Thoughts are ever flowing within your mind. I read somewhere that a human mind processes 150,000 thoughts in a 24 hour day. Could this be true? If it is, then I fear for you and me! Imagine that a huge chunk of that thinking is negative. That is a huge impact on one\’s life.
If positive words are flowing in your life it is likely that your life is going to be wonderful. In all this thinking and speaking you certainly are reaping what you are constantly prophesying by your words.
Finally I encourage you today to carefully think about the life you are creating with your thoughts and spoken words. If you are not happy with the status quo, it\’s time for a paradigm shift.
Right, I pray you are going to watch your thought life especially that you now understand seriously that your words have power.
